February 2nd

Breakfast #1 
  • 2 egg whites sprinkled with pepper (adding pepper is a new thing for me because of the good benefits - I like it!) 
  • 1/2 grapefruit (tasted like it has sugar on it, but didn't- so sweet and good)
  • 1/2 medifast w/ 1 cup black coffee
Why add Black Pepper? 
Black pepper is an excellent source of manganese, and a good source of iron, dietary fiber, and vitamin K.  
- helps improve digestion (helps with indigestion, gas, and/or diarrhea or constipation) 
-helps prevent the prevent the formation of intestinal gas
- diuretic
-antioxidant and antibacterial effects
-stimulates the breakdown of fat cells 

Breakfast #2
Blackberry Banana Walnut Waffles
  • Kashi Go Lean Waffles
  • Trader Joe's Unsweetened Applesauce 
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • Blackberries
  • 10g walnuts
Same breakfast from the other day, but this time added blackberries instead of blueberries 
This is so good...I like to pick it up and eat it with my fingers.  
Snack
Pink Lemonade Pro2O (25 cal) 
Tru Chocolate (36 cal) 
Dan fixing BBQ Chicken Pita Pizzas before the Super Bowl Game at our house 
Pizza's before they went in the oven
Easy thing to make when having people over
  • Pita Alternatives
  • TJ BBQ sauce
  • Green bell pepper
  • Red onion
  • Chicken (frozen "Just Chicken" from TJ)
Large Salad (red leaf lettuce, cucumber, tomato, broccoli, avocado, pepper, FF italian dressing)
BBQ Pita Pizza - oops.. a little well done.   
Snack
  • 2/3 cup puffins w/ 13 raw almonds
  • Amazing fruit salad my mother-in-law made for the game today

 
Dinner
  • Red leaf lettuce
  • 1/4 cup black beans
  • Trader Joe's multigrain and flaxseed chips
  • Trader Joe's Roasted Tomato Salsa 
  • Greek Total Zero Yogurt 

Orange Tangerine Hot Tea

Snack
  • Puffins
  • 1/2 larabar cashew cookie
  • La Tortilla Factory Tortilla 
  • 1/2 cup fruit salad
