I tried this once before and I liked it. I put the chocolate Lightful shake into coffee. However, I tried it again and it was so bad. I did not like the coffee at all. Ugh...I hated wasting the lightful shakes- they are not cheap. Could not even drink it.
Haven't had coffee in several months and can't decide if I'm going to start drinking it again or not. Tried the pumpkin spice coffee with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg yesterday and it was really good, but I don't think I like how it makes me feel. Still undecided. I love how the green tea makes me feel though- that is what is in my blue cup. I like to have it after the early morning boot camp.
Breakfast #1
Had this banana on my way to the second boot camp class for some quick energy. ~100 cal
Breakfast #2 after class- so hungry when I got home- drank water while I made breakfast.
- Oatmeal (290 cal)
- 1/2 cup egg whites/1 cup spinach/1/2 cup peepers/1 clove garlic (90 cal)
Lunch
- Amy's Low Sodium Brown Rice Tofu Bowl - I heated this up last night and put it in a Tupperware to pack in my lunch for today. (260 calories)
- Spinach Salad- 3 cups spinach, 10g walnuts, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1 tbsp TJ FF Feta, 1 tbsp FF balsamic dressing - Made it the night before, but added the strawberries in the morning (131.6). Great salad, but I'm over the balsamic dressing now- need to mix it up.
- Berries - 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries (42.5 calories)
This is a picture of the Amy's box- this is what I put in the top right Tupperware. Hard to find the low sodium ones, but they are great when you are in a hurry or to have on hand when you haven't made it to the grocery store.
Snack- 2/3 cup puffins w/ 10 raw almonds (170 calories)
I had this shortly after lunch. Did not need to eat it so soon after lunch, but I didn't want to get back to work. I should have just chewed gum.
Snack
Love the produce from Whole Foods- this organic gala apple was so delicious. (80 cal)
Dinner
Really wanted a burrito- so proud I made a 100 calorie burrito, but unfortunately it tasted really bad. I used the small La Tortilla Factory tortilla, 1/4 cup pinto beans, 1 Tbsp lite cheese, and 1 tbsp Greek yogurt. I think if I use a different type of beans it might have been better.
Snack
At the young married cafe at the Rock I had some grapes. Didn't really need them, but I knew by the time I got home that night I would be hungry.
I packed my food for the day in the morning and did a little prep work at night, so it made it so easy to eat healthy all day and not have to think about it.
