So...I know this sounds gross...well...for me just the name of "hot dog" grosses me out. However, I'm testing out snacks/meals that kids like and how I can make them healthier for all the moms in my class. I found these chicken hot dogs and they are really good. They do have salt, but as an every once in a while they are a great choice. Especially...with if you are having a summer BBQ.
I sliced them up and added them to my egg dish and it is so yummy. It added a lot of flavor.
I just mixed 6 eggs, 6 egg whites, tons of vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, spinach etc), 2 hot dogs, pepper and baked it at 350 for about 20-25 min.
Do you guys have a meal/snack that your kids (or husbands) like, but is "junk food/non-food" and would like me to find a healthier alternative?
