Don't Fall For it

 Starting Jan 1st, I notices numerous grocery stores and other stores with "diet" products front and center when you come in and shelves packed with this crap.  I just don't want people to think they can get health, life, and vitality from dead food that is chemically processed and in a box.  On the other hand, eating real whole food can give you life, health, and vitality. 

It also makes me so sad to hear all the radio commercials for gastric bypass.  I just want to encourage people that there is a better healthier way and that they can do it. It makes me feel like I need to fight harder to reach out to people to support them with their desire to get healthier and lose weight.  I just wish people were willing to work for what they want and not try to always take the easy way out, which always ends up backfiring anyways.  It scares me to see the horrible negative side effects people have due to weight loss surgery and that it is not talked about enough is even worse.

I know many brides and women want a quick, easy fix with losing weight for the start of the New Year, but don't fall for it...read on to find out why...
Lets start with Nutrisystem


When I take just the ingredients list off of oatmeal, which is a nice healthy breakfast choice the label reads:

OATS, APPLES (SULFITED), SUGAR, DEXTROSE, NATURAL FLAVORS, SALT, CINNAMON, CARAMEL COLOR.

Starting your day with sugar will only lead to a bad day of highs and lows. It drains your energy and makes it hard to concentrate and to focus.

Any one feel like they are ADD or get sick all the time?
Well...Some studies link artificial food coloring to ADD in children. Caramel color is also shown to decrease your immune system...um... no thanks.

What are "Natural Flavors" ?
According to Dar Ververka,the exact definition of natural flavorings & flavors from Title 21, Section 101, part 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations is as follows:

"The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable


or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material, meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof, whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional."
In other words, natural flavors can be pretty much anything approved for use in food.

They also recommend a chocolate muffin for breakfast that has all this crap in it:

These meals are just as bad, but I don't want to take up too much space in my newsletter with the long list of ingredients. But I found MSG and Splenda in their meals as well as lots of other toxic ingredients.

Medifast is just as bad


Eggs are a great choice for breakfast in the morning, but not these eggs they want you to buy

This is the ingredients in Medifasts eggs- CRAZY!

Ingredients: Eggs (egg whites, egg yolks, maltodextrin, polydextrose, modified corn starch, corn oil, titanium
dioxide (color), salt, guar gum, xanthan gum, annato, spice), chicory root extract (inulin), calcium carbonate,
tetrasodium pyrophosphate, dipotassium phosphate, magnesium oxide, ascorbic acid, ferric orthophosphate,
dicalcium phosphate, d-l alpha tocopheryl acetate, niacinamide, zinc oxide, manganese sulfate, d-calcium
pantothenate, copper sulfate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin A palmitate, riboflavin, thiamin mononitrate,
chromium chloride, sodium molybdate, folic acid, biotin, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, vitamin K-1,
vitamin D3, cyanocobalamin.

Really...Just buy a carton of eggs instead!


I highly recommend that you read the ingredient list instead of the nutrition facts label for all products. 

It is no wonder that people on these diets may lose weight because they are in taking less calories, but they don't look very health and vibrant. When you eat dead food your skin shows it. When you eat live food your body hair, skin, energy, mind, and body reflect that.
