craving ice cream?

Almond dream just came out with these great little treats.  They are dairy free and I like that they are just small pieces, so if you are just wanting a little treat without much calories a few of these can satisfy your chocolate ice cream craving with minimal calories. They taste delicious.
Coconut bliss also makes great dairy free ice cream products.  I love that the ingredient list is does not take up the whole package and are all ingredients I know and can recognize. The fat is also so high that a small amount can fill you up and keep you satisfied.  I know a lot of women like those skinny cows and who wouldn't with the word "skinny" in the label but

Ingredient List:

  • Organic Coconut Milk (Organic Coconut, Water, Guar Gum)
  • Organic Agave Syrup
  • Organic Fair Trade Vanilla Extract
  • Organic Fair Trade Cocoa
  • Organic Hazelnuts
  • Organic Chocolate Fudge (Organic Agave Syrup, Water, Organic Fair Trade Cocoa, Organic Fair Trade Vanilla Extract)
I know a lot of women like those skinny cows and who wouldn't with the word "skinny" in the label, but this is the ingredient list for the Skinny cow low fat ice cream sandwich.  The fake sugar and the low fat in these bars is just one of the reasons most people can stop at just one of these bars without wanting another one or the whole box which people commented on their website.

Plus... it still has high fructose corn syrup, which really surprises me.  I could continue to list more reasons and pick this apart, but I'm just going to mention one more thing.

If your goal is weight loss the key is keeping your blood sugar stable. If you are going to have sweets it's best to have it within 30 minutes post a balanced meal.  To help your blood sugar from spiking you want to have a healthy fat in your treat to have a slower release of sugar into your system therefore keeping your body a little more balanced.

Ingredients:
