- Draw an imaginary line through the middle of your plate
- 1/2 of your plate should be filled with vegetables and fruits
- Divide the other half into 2 equal parts
- 1/4 section for protein
- 1/4 section for whole grains
I recommend using an 8-9 inch plate to help get a healthy potion size, instead of the standard 11-12 inch plate. Check out www.theportionplate.com for a plate to remind you at every meal what a normal potions should look like, or to just see a visual of what I'm describing.
