New Location for the Del Mar Classes
The Del Mar Powerhouse and Torrey Pines Class will be moved to Torrey Hills Park.
Interstate 5 [EXIT] on to Carmel Valley Road [EAST] go to El Camino Real. Turn [RIGHT] on to El Camino Real [SOUTH] go about 1½ miles to Carmel Mountain Road. Turn [RIGHT] on to Carmel Mountain Road [SOUTH] go to Vista Sorrento Parkway. Turn [LEFT] on to Vista Sorrento Parkway [EAST] go to Ocean Bluff Avenue. Turn [LEFT] on to Ocean Bluff Avenue [NORTH] go to West Ocean Air Drive. Turn [RIGHT] on to West Ocean Air Drive [EAST] go to Calle Mar de Mariposa. Turn [LEFT] on to Calle Mar de Mariposa [NORTH] drive up the hill and the Park is straight ahead

I'm really excited about this new location because there are a few playgrounds, sand, swings, slides, and lots of fun equipment to use.

Picnic tables and benches- great for lots of different exercises.

You might not be able to see them very well in this picture, but there are bleachers! I'm so excited about this!

There is plenty of close parking.

Christmas Eve
Breakfast
Oatmeal w/ Sliced bananas
Medifast w/ coffee
Snack
Kids Life cereal -dry
Post-Workout Snack
Apple
Kids cliff bar
Snack while I made lunch
Wheat thins
Lunch - after I made this I wasn't really hungry, so I wrapped it up and saved it for later.
Large salad (romain lettuce, carrots, peppers, tomato, and celery w/ italian dressing)
1/2 sandwich (1 slice toasted ww bread, 2oz low sodium turkey, 1/2 wedge light laughing cow cheese, mustard)
Snack
La tortilla factory tortilla w/ Pb
Knew we were having lasagna for dinner, but wasn't sure if they would one without meat, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't so hungry and stuff with just a eating the bread and salad.
Appetizers-
I should have saved my wrap for a little closer to dinner, instead of waiting so long without eating before the party. I had carrots, celery, broccoli, one bite bread, and some mixed nuts.
I had one more plate like this minus the bread. Umm..now I remember why I try to avoid the salted mixed nuts, they are so addicting.
Christmas Eve Dinner
Sorry it is so dark. I took the flash off so I could take a quick picture without anyone noticing. All my family knows I'm doing this blog for the class, but I didn't want to have to explain it to everyone else that way there. It was so funny though because at the end of dinner Jamie shouted across the table and asked if I took a picture of her meal.
My sister in-law, Jamie, is great! She made a mixed salad from one of the kits from Costco, but let me take some dry salad for my plate before she added all the dressing and fixings. I just added some spray balsamic dressing from her frig that is only 10 calories for 10 sprays. So happy I got to do this. She even made a really good spinach lasagna in addition to the lasagna with meat.
I had a slice of bread, spinach lasagna, and salad. I try to avoid white processed carbs, but since I sliced it for her before dinner, it just looked so good, plus I was able to see the calories of it from the bag. Thanks so much Jamie!
I definately don't expect anyone to cater to me or to make anything different for me I can always find something to put together. I really appreciate how thoughtful and understanding a lot of people are to making or having healthy options available.
It was so funny the other night Dan was on the phone making plans to go over to our friends house for dinners and I heard him say to my husband what he was going to make and that "it is healthy". Again, I don't expect anyone to do anything different, but I really do appreciate it. I can be so hard not to offend anyone especally during this time of year with more social events and parties, but when people just know that you like and choose to eat healthy it makes it so much easier.

December 23rd
Love the mornings- Really like to get work done several hours before the sun comes up and just sip my hot chocolate medifast w/ coffee while I work. I try to only use 1/2 a packet, but it is so good I've been having the whole packet through out the morning. (110 calories)
Pre-workout breakfast
Oatmeal with sliced bananas
Post-workout breakfast
Had to run to Target on the way home and was hungry- had these stashed in my bag.
Tru Chocolate- healthy chocolate from Katie B.- I love it. I'll talk about it in another post.
Lunch
Even though my post-workout snack was not what I wanted but all I had at the time, it was good I had it so that I could take time to make a healthy lunch.
I made so much, I couldn't finish it, so I just wrapped up the plate and saved the rest for my afternoon snack.
- Large salad (romain lettuce, carrots, avocado, celery, peppers, and italian dressing)
- 1/2 turkey sandwich (1 slice toasted wheat bread, 2 oz turkey, mustard)
- 1 clementine
- 1 la tortilla factory tortilla w/ PB - so happy my grandma bought the 80 calorie la tortilla factory at Costco. I will have to see if my Costco at home carries these now.
Snack- left over lunch I did not finish
Snack- apple w/ wheat thins
Added a la tortilla factory tortilla and some pb for my apple
Dinner-
when out to Coco's w/ Dan's family for dinner. It is a tradition every year to go to Coco's then look at the Nativity they have set up in town. They have been doing this for 32 years now!
I looked up the menu online before I went- they have a new section 600 calories or less on the menu.
I ordered the Greek Feta Salad for 300 calories.
It was good, but should have asked for the dressing on the side. I thought because it was calculated in that it would only be a little bit, but it was too much.
Workouts over the break
I hope you are all enjoying time with your family during the break.
If you left early and have any questions about the workout plan, I would be more than happy to explain it to you.
So...I've been taking different classes each day with my sister in-law to get new ideas to bring into boot camp, see what equipment I want to order, and ways I can improve my teaching by evaluating what I like and don't like with other instructors.
I took a ballet tone class to get new ideas for non-weight bearing leg exercises for all the ladies with knee issues and who doesn't just love a ballerina's long lean body. If you are in my class, you would have just died to know that the workout was to Enya and the reps were about 4. I really had to slow it down. Only burned 100 calories!
Ballast class- was the best combination of cardio and strength training again burning the most calories. So excited they used the weighted physio ball, which is just amazing. I did not use it in this round of classes, but I will have to blow mine up for the Jan. class- I forgot how much I love it. It is good because you can sit on the ball and stand up an it will still be right under you- great for the Del Mar class, so the balls aren't rolling into the ocean when the wind picks up.
Kickboxing- If you are also in my class, you could imagine what I was thinking when the instructor arrived 10 minutes late and then we started about 15 min. late.
Hope you are still fitting in good workouts, doing different activities, burning calories shopping, and finding some time to relax.
I'm finishing up the new journals for the January class- I'm so excited for them to get here are for you to see them.
If you are having a hard time with all the sweets and holiday treats everywhere- make sure you are writing it down to see just how quickly they add up. Be selective about what treats you love and I don't recommend wasting any calories on those you don't. Pay attention to how it affects your energy level - especially when eating healthy foods through out the day.

Plan Ahead for Valentines
A boudoir shoot is the perfect gift for your hubby for Valentines as well as a good goal for the 6 week mark of this next class!
Woman Captured is offering the first 2 girls 20% off, next 8 get 15% off, and the rest get 10% off!
Plus, they are lowering the deposit to $50 for the "Very Prepared Valentine Vixen", if you book by the 31st. All shoots must be scheduled before Feb 4th to insure products done by Valentine's Day.
A lot of girls in class have done this for wedding gifts, birthday, and valentine's day gifts. It adds so much motivation for getting in the best shape you can. The photographer's at woman captured are the best by far. They are just amazing, which is why they book up really fast, so if you are interested in doing this for Valentine's or as a special gift I would book your appointment in advance to get it done in time.
Tell them you are in Fit 2 Wed boot camp and you will also get a discount (I think it is 10 or 10% off).

Carrot muffin-Thanks Cathy! I'm so glad that Cathy made this because I've been wanting to try it. She made it with carrot cake mix and diet fresca. 40 calories and tasted like really good carrot cake.
ginger bread- Thanks Stacey! I also love ginger bread stuff. She made these for ~20-30 calories.
Stacey also brought these good peanut butter and jelly cookies! 86 calories.
Dinner
- White bean chili- Thanks so much for bringing this Katherine! I loved it! Thanks so much for printing out the recipe and bringing it. It had such great flavor and chili's are so great during this time of year. Great comfort food.
- I also threw together a spinach salad
- Still at the Christmas party- glad I brought this with me to just heat up, since they had pulled pork.

Meeting friends for dinner, but got stuck in really bad traffic and it was past time for me to eat. Luckily, I still had these two clementines with me.
See all the traffic- not good!
Clementines and oranges have been so good lately. Eating this before I got there helped so I don't overeat, since I was so hungry.
Umm...I probably should not be taking pictures while I'm driving though.
Dinner-
Sushi is normally my top choose for going out to eat.
This miso soup was great, since it was rainy and cold.
Also had yellow tail sashimi. I also had some bites of my husbands soba noodles, while I waited for my soup to come, since I was late.
Del Mar Classes Canceled Today
Hi Ladies,
Unfortunately, due to the storm both Del Mar 6:15am and 8:30am classes today Wed. Dec. 17th are canceled and will be rescheduled.
I recommend still getting your workout in, but indoors.
I will keep you posted via email as well as a message on my voice mail, if the evening Mission Bay class is canceled. It is suppose to be the worse this morning, so maybe it will stop by tonight.

December 17th
Pre-workout Breakfast-
2 clementines (70 cal) ---so, so good!
1/2 medifast w/ coffee (55 cal)
Post-Workout Breakfast
Yes! I finally was able to sort of mimic my favorite breakfast at naked cafe (the pesto scramble).
I made a pesto for 34 calories- I will post it as one of the recipes of the week for the newsletter.
This whole breakfast is only 264.5 calories and it is really filling.
- Tomato Basil La Tortilla
- 108g Zucchini (sauteed with 1 spray olive oil)
- 1 cup spring mix w/ 1/4 tsp Italian dressing/ Roma tomato
- Reddi eggs (1/2 cup)/ 1 cup spinach/ pesto/ Roma tomato
Snack
Pro2O (25 calories)
Classic Snack-
apple
greek yogurt
Lunch
This salad is amazing. Yesterday I made it a little too high in calories (395), so today I easily cut out almost 100 calories that did not make a difference. I took out .5oz avocado and 2tbsp kidney beans.
- 2 cups spring mix
- 2 tbsp kidney beans
- 1 oz avocado
- 1 tbsp Italian dressing
- 3 Parmesan chicken tenders - so so good- will also be a recipe of the week for the newsletter.
Just roll chicken tenders in one packet Italian seasoning dressing, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese. Bake for 20-25 min, then broil for 5-6 minutes till nice and brown. 70 calories per chicken tender.
Dessert- Kidz cliff bar (140 cal)
Dinner- 142 calories
- Soup fm this weeks recipe of the week (34 cal)
- Salad (2 cups romain, green beans 43g, 1/2 roma tomato, 1 tbsp Italian dressing, 1 Parmesan chicken tender). I wanted the same salad I had for lunch, so to make it less calories and to use up what I had in the frig. I used green beans and tomatoes, instead of avocado and beans.
